Effect:

Grabbing the deck of cards you’ll start dealing out a five player game, including yourself, of five card stud poker. After all the cards are dealt, you’ll go around the table one hand at a time and discuss with them the strengths or weaknesses of their hand to prove to them you’ve been studying up on your knowledge of cards in poker.

Once you’ve gone through all five hands, including your own, you’ll take all five hands and place them on top of the deck of cards. Now, you’ll tell the other players that you’ve heard a lot about how easy it is for a card cheat to flip the odds of a game around without anyone even knowing. Once more, you’ll deal out five hands of cards and go through them again to show the strengths and weaknesses.

This time, when you get to your hand, you say “How did that get there?” and turn over a royal flush.

Materials Required:

All you need for this trick is one full deck of cards.

Preparing For The Trick:

Before you start dealing out the five hands of cards you’ll want to set the a royal flush of whatever suit you chose on top of the deck in order from ten to ace.

What’s The Secret?:

As you deal the cards to the five of you sitting at the table, the first card you place down for each of the players is one of the five cards needed for your royal flush. Go through each hand with the other players and talk to them about the cards that they have to keep their mind focused. Once you have passed a player, turn his cards back face down and set them in a pile right in front of them.

After all five hands have been reviewed, take each of those five stacks of cards and place them directly on top of the main deck you have in your hand. Your royal flush will be sitting at the fifth, tenth, fifteenth, twentieth, and twenty fifth spot in the deck. That means that you will automatically deal yourself the royal flush.
