Learn How To Spin A Coin With Your Hand

The Coin Spin is one of the most basic moves in coin magic and is often the foundation for future tricks. In short, the move involves spinning a coin between your thumb and first two fingers all on one hand.

• Start by taking your coin in your dominant hand. Hold the coin flatwise between your thumb and pointer finger with heads facing straight up and your thumb directly on top of it.
• Using your thumb, push the coin on to the tip of your pointer finger so that it is being held by your thumb and the nail side of your pointer finger.
• Change your hold now so that your thumb has been replaced by your middle finger and pointer finger, with the heads side facing the tip of your middle finger.
• Now, replaced your pointer finger with your thumb in the same fashion.
• And to bring you back to the beginning, replace your middle finger with your pointer finger with the only difference that the tails side is now facing your thumb instead of the heads side.

This specific method with spin the coin clockwise, but you can easily alter the method above so that you can spin it counter clockwise. Once you have mastered this move with your thumb and pointer finger, you should practice it with your middle and ring finger, and then your ring and pinkie fingers to build up additional strength and dexterity.
